In 2000, Darren began his career at the Wall Street law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, in a capital markets group serving major investment banks.  At Cadwalader, Darren worked on derivatives and structured finance transactions including mortgage-backed securities offerings, equity-linked debt offerings, and CDOs. 

In 2004, Darren moved to Deutsche Bank Securities, where he worked as a consultant in its equity derivatives middle office.  Darren helped the bank streamline documentation processes and investigate lost documentation.

In 2005, Darren transitioned to East-West Management Institute, Inc., a nonprofit organization that works to promote financial stability in countries moving toward a free market economy.

Darren earned his Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies from Colgate University in 2000 and his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2009. In law school, Darren was a recurrent member of the Dean’s List and was also an active participant in FIU’s pro bono and community outreach efforts. 

At Bruce Jacobs & Associates, Darren plans to develop his practice in the areas of commercial litigation and foreclosure defense.  In his spare time, Darren trains with the Zen Jiu-jitsu competition team and competes in regional and national tournaments.  Darren also devotes time to Habitat for Humanity.
